Supporting Japan Relief Week
We are participating in Japan Relief Week (26 March - 1st April 2011) following the recent devastating earthquake and tsunami in northern Japan.
In Tokyo, the home town of TC (Owner chef), his mother said they have felt aftershocks every 2 minutes including an intensity 3 yesterday. They have spent anxious days and sleepless nights. With a shortage of food and restriction of drinking tap water for baby and infants in case of pollution, every day is worsening markedly for them. Of course it is much, much worse for the people further north.
We think we should do what we can do where we are to support earthquake-stricken Japanese, so we will donate a percentage of sales during the week. If you are able to kindly help the earthquake relief, we have a special menu and an origami crane donation box available at our shop. 100% of the money raised is going to the New Zealand Red Cross 2011 Japan Earthquake and Tsunami appeal. You can find out more at http://craneaid.org/
We sincerely hope your families and friends are all safe. Thank you so much for your support.
